Spending time relaxing at home or the cottage is great this time of year, but sometimes it’s nice to truly get away from it all and explore a new place. Need some inspiration? Look no further than these places across the pond, where Air Canada’s new Boeing 737Max jet can take you to places that satisfy your wanderlust.

London. You may have missed the royal wedding, but there is still plenty to do across the pond in this vibrant British city. London has no shortage of museums on everything from nature, art and space, and most public ones offer free entry to regular collections. Don’t miss classics like the Tower of London and Westminster Abbey. You can also take exciting day trips to places like the historic city of Bath and the Harry Potter studio tour. To enjoy the new aircraft, fly from Halifax or St. John’s.

Travel around London the easy way

Ireland. Start out in the capital and largest city, Dublin. It’s filled with historical landmarks and green spaces. Check out the Dublin Castle to see typical Norman courtyard design that was built primarily for defense against the Norman invasion of Ireland. Rent a bike to explore this bicycle-friendly city, see some art at one of the many museums, and take part in the vibrant nightlife along St. Stephen’s Green and Grafton Street. Then head over to Shannon, a town in western Ireland where you can explore the towering cliffs and golden beaches of its rugged Atlantic coastline. To enjoy the new aircraft, fly to Dublin via Montreal or Shannon via Toronto.

Northern & Southern Ireland

Reykjavik. Haven’t been to this trendy Iceland destination yet? One of the cleanest, safest and greenest cities in the world, Reykjavik is popular with tourists for its affordable attractions and gorgeous scenery. There are plenty of things to do in the city, like the Kolaportid flea market, but it’s also only a short drive away from other fun things to do. See the northern lights, pamper yourself at the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa and take a boat trip to view seals and glaciers in the Jokulsarlon Lagoon. To enjoy the new aircraft, fly via Montreal or Toronto.

Best of Iceland
